The term Fulfillment means that every activity following a customer’s order in an online shop is managed by an external service provider. But what does that mean in a practical sense? Everything that a shop owner would normally have to do on his own is now carried out by the service provider. He deals not only with the dispatching, but also with all activities like incoming orders, assistance to the customer, retour management, billing and also storage of the articles. If a customer orders goods, the order is received by the service provider who takes over the processing. The same applies for retours, service requests and every other issue – under the condition that you as the ordering person and shop owner want it.
